Senior Operational Resilience Specialist
About the role
The Global Operational Resilience team delivers a wide range of first line defense elements needed to defend Allianz Commercial’s business processes, IT assets, employees and physical locations against threats. These first line defense areas include Information Security, Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management, Global Incident Management, External Fraud as well as Physical Security.
Responsibilities
- Strengthen operational resilience across North America: Design and continuously improve first-line defense frameworks for information security, business continuity, crisis management, incident management, external fraud prevention and physical security — ensuring critical operations can withstand and recover from disruptions.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and governance: Monitor adherence to regulatory requirements, conduct risk assessments and audits, and maintain clear documentation, reporting and control frameworks across all resilience activities.
- Lead resilience planning and testing: Deliver activities such as business impact analyses, develop and maintain continuity and crisis plans, and lead regular crisis simulations and business continuity tests to validate preparedness and identify improvement areas.
- Manage incidents and coordinate response: Act as a key contact during operational disruptions, support incident and crisis response, coordinate regulatory notifications, and ensure timely escalation and resolution when needed.
- Drive governance, reporting and risk insights: Maintain resilience registers, deliver regular reporting to senior stakeholders, and monitor regulatory developments to keep frameworks up to date.
- Engage, train and influence stakeholders: Provide expert guidance to leaders and teams, translate complex regulatory requirements into practical actions, and deliver training and awareness initiatives to build a strong operational resilience culture across the region.
Requirements
At minimum of 5 years of experience in one or several safeguarding functions (e.g., include incident management, business continuity, data protection, compliance, information security or physical security); Project management-related working style (i.e., structuring unfamiliar topics into manageable actions and orchestrating multiple activities simultaneously); Ability to influence without authority and steer resilience topics across the local teams in North America; Ability to remain calm and effective in high-intensity periods; Confidence to drive own topics independently; Willing to work with teams across times zones; Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making is highly beneficial.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in business, technology or political science fields.

Pay
The annualized base pay range for this role in O’Fallon is $120,000 - $140,000. The annualized base pay range for this role in Alpharetta is $125,000 - $150,000.
