Senior Oncology Account Manager, San Jose

About the role

This remote field-based role will focus on driving oncology account growth across an assigned territory, with a strong emphasis on customer engagement and access for appropriate patients. The position will partner closely with internal teams to coordinate execution, support business planning, and help ensure the right patients can access therapy in a timely manner. Success in the role will depend on deep oncology market expertise, strong territory management, and the ability to navigate both virtual and in-person selling environments.

Responsibilities

• Market the company’s product portfolio effectively in the designated territory
• Exceed performance goals by positioning product benefits for appropriate patients
• Manage time efficiently to prioritize activities that enhance brand value and patient impact
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely access to products for eligible patients
• Adapt engagement strategies between virtual and in-person interactions based on customer preferences
• Analyze market data to inform business planning and optimize resource utilization
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, offering innovative solutions

Qualifications

• MA, MS, BA, or BS degree with 12–15+ years in the biopharma industry
• 8–12+ years in oncology product sales with a proven track record
• Experience launching oral oncolytics and oncology products with companion diagnostics
• Demonstrated success in competitive marketplaces and solo-representative environments
• Ability to travel approximately 50% and reside permanently in the assigned territory

Compensation

$150,000 – $230,000 annually

Schedule & location

Remote position for US-based candidates only; no visa sponsorship available. Requires approximately 50% travel and permanent residence in the assigned territory.
