Location: St. Louis, MO – Territory coverage includes Illinois, Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Kentucky. This is a field-based role requiring ~80% travel, including occasional evening and weekend work for conferences. Residence within the assigned geographic region is required.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and maintain advanced knowledge of uveal melanoma, tumor biology, emerging clinical data, the competitive environment, and darovasertib's mechanism of action.
  • Independently develop and execute sophisticated territory and ecosystem-level account strategies to drive appropriate product utilization.
  • Leverage scientific knowledge and executive presence to cultivate peer-level relationships with leading academic oncologists, ocular specialists, and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
  • Translate complex clinical data into clear, compliant, and compelling product education tailored to each stakeholder.
  • Execute pre-launch and launch strategies in alignment with national brand objectives.
  • Identify, activate, and optimize referral networks across the patient journey.
  • Partner strategically with Medical Affairs, Value & Access, and Patient Services to optimally support complex accounts.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, delivering actionable insights to key internal stakeholders informing brand strategy, lifecycle planning, and future launch readiness.
  • Effectively utilize multiple sources of analytics and performance data to optimize resource deployment, account prioritization, and adapt execution plans accordingly.
  • Adhere to all administrative requirements, including budget management, expense report management, CRM call reporting and synchronization, within required timelines and company guidelines.
  • Ensure all promotional activities adhere to regulatory and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, biological sciences, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of pharmaceutical sales-related experience; minimum 5+ years of oncology sales experience.
  • Proven success launching a first-in-class or specialty oncology product in the U.S.
  • Experience in rare disease, orphan oncology, or highly specialized markets strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in high-level scientific dialogue with academic healthcare professionals.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the reimbursement process and fulfillment pathways for oral oncolytics; ability to partner internally and externally to support patient access to IDEAYA’s therapies.
  • Proven track record managing complex, high-impact academic and community oncology accounts.
  • Strong analytic, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
  • High degree of autonomy, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Patient-centric mindset grounded in integrity and scientific rigor.

Pay

The expected salary range for the role of Senior Oncology Account Manager is $187,000 - $231,000. The final salary offered will depend on several factors, including but not limited to the office location, the candidate’s experience within their profession, experience in the disease areas IDEAYA focuses on, length of time within the industry, educational background, and performance during the interview process.

This position requires onsite work at the Company’s facilities for training and meetings, with work-from-home flexibility. The Company requires all employees working in its facilities to be fully vaccinated from COVID-19 (except as required by applicable law). Full vaccination is defined as 14 days after receiving either the second dose in a two-dose series or a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine authorized by the FDA, or listed for emergency use by the World Health Organization.
