Senior Oil Sales Representative

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute Perdue’s co-product sales portfolio, generating approximately $4M in annual sales revenue.
  • Led the trading of RBD vegetable oils with a strong focus on maximizing profitability.
  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities.
  • Maintain and strengthen existing partnerships.
  • Monitor, interpret, and communicate key market drivers, including global supply and demand data.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external partners to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective product flow.
  • Execute hedge strategies accurately and promptly to support customer requirements.
  • Manage market risk effectively.
  • Provide customers with timely information related to market conditions, contract positions, logistic coordination, and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare and deliver ad hoc reports to support commercial decision-making.
  • Evaluate the impact of logistics on refined oil margins.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agribusiness, Sales/Marketing, Economics, or related field.
  • Demonstrate excellence in customer service and client engagement.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of cash commodity markets and CBOT fundamentals.
  • Demonstrate strong sales acumen with proven negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Demonstrate proficient computer skills, including a solid command of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrate strong commitment to timeliness, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate ability to quickly learn, apply, and adapt to new information and processes.

Preferred Education And Experience

  • 5+ years of trading/merchandising experience.

Physical Requirements And Environmental Factors

  • Work in a normal climate-controlled office environment.
  • Communicate on the telephone.
  • Use standard office equipment.
  • Move freely through AgriBusiness facilities, including climbing vertical heights (0 - 150%).
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db), and chemicals (MSDS sheets available).
  • Travel to remote AgriBusiness facilities and customer locations.
