Senior Nonprofit Accountant

Our client in Fairfield County, Connecticut, is hiring a Senior Accountant to run the books for a group of private foundations and community programs. The Bachrach Group is running the search. What You Will Do Day-to-day accounting across multiple foundation entities: reporting, reconciliations, audit and tax supportMonth-end and year-end close, accruals and journal entriesTrack, record and reconcile donation and fundraising receivablesAccount reconciliations across multiple legal entitiesSupport Form 990-PF, 990-T and state filings with outside preparersCoordinate the annual auditBanking relationships and cash management support What We Are Looking For Bachelor's in accounting or finance plus a master's in accounting and/or CPAFive or more years of accounting with nonprofit or private foundation exposureGAAP, accrual accounting and a full close cycleExternal audit support and tax filing experienceWorkday Financial Management or a comparable GL system; advanced Excel Direct hire, on-site.
