Senior Network Project Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Project Engineer to join our team. This role is critical for driving data center migration through the automation, deployment, and scaling of massive network infrastructure. You will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and technical execution—leading the creation of comprehensive implementation plans, logical/physical inventory systems, and network configurations. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced network and management skills, specifically including the development of textprotos as network configuration scripts used by automation tools for deploying network devices. You will streamline network provisioning and manage end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring a seamless, scalable, and operationally sound infrastructure deployment.
Location: United States (Remote).
Responsibilities
- Inventory & Auditing: Responsible for the meticulous creation and maintenance of both physical and logical inventory records.
- Migration Strategy: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive Migration Plans (MOPs) for complex network transitions, ensuring zero to minimal downtime.
- Automation & Programming: Integrate programming and automation skills to streamline repetitive network tasks and improve deployment efficiency.
- Configuration Management: Utilize CIDER-like software environments for network modeling and the development of textprotos to define structured configuration data.
- Data Management: Maintain high-fidelity data management sheets to track project milestones, asset allocation, and technical specifications.
- Hardware Implementation: Oversee the installation and configuration of Arista networking equipment within data center environments, proficient with bales type connectors, media converters etc.
- Advanced Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues within software-based workflows, ensuring seamless connectivity and performance across Arista/Juniper routing and switching infrastructures.
- Device Provisioning & Turn-Up: Troubleshoot and validate hardware/software configurations during the deployment and activation phases of network turn-up devices.
- Field Operations & Travel: Oversee critical deployment phases on-site at various data center locations.
