Senior Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain a multi-vendor global trading network
• Connect BAM’s offices, datacenters, market data providers, trade brokers and public cloud providers
• Work with, and help extend, an intent driven network automation framework
• Manage the firewall infrastructure and proactively work to improve network security
• Work closely with technology and investment teams to understand their requirements and provide solutions that align with business needs
• Perform network capacity planning to ensure network scales to meet the demands of the business
• Define and implement standards and best practices
• Act as an escalation point for troubleshooting network and security issues
• Participate in a 24/7 on call rotation and out of hours network maintenance

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of network protocols, including BGP, OSPF, PIM, and IGMPS
• Solid understanding of spine-leaf topologies and large scale data center network designs
• Experience working with market data providers and colocation facilities
• Experience working with Palo Alto firewalls and network security in general
• Good understanding of networking in public cloud environments, particularly AWS and Azure
• Experience working with network automation and automation tools: Netbox, Ansible, Jinja, Python, Git, Netconf, Restconf, Temporal, Terraform

Skills

• The ability to troubleshoot complex network issues

Pay

Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week.
