Senior Network Planner

About the role
The Senior Network Planner owns end-to-end supply and distribution planning execution for an assigned product portfolio, balancing service levels, inventory management, and operating costs. This position requires deep, hands-on engagement with BD’s planning systems and active coordination across regional and global supply chain partners. As a senior member of the planning team, this role also contributes to strategic initiatives and process improvements aligned with evolving business priorities.
Responsibilities
- Lead finished-goods inventory replenishment from manufacturing sites and ports to U.S. Distribution Centers (DCs), including inter-DC stock balancing.
- Develop and execute inventory deployment and capacity plans to optimize inventory management and product flow across the network for assigned portfolios.
- Monitor inventory health across the DC network, identifying and mitigating risks to product availability and customer service.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert in SAP/SNP, KINAXIS, maximizing system capabilities for daily planning, execution, and active management of SKUs under allocation.
- Provide clear, proactive communication to internal stakeholders on backorder recovery, supply constraints, and expected product receipts; partner closely with Customer Service to support customer-facing commitments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality Assurance, Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Warehousing, and Transportation to ensure aligned execution.
- Support and influence the monthly Excess & Obsolete (E&O) provisioning process, leading discussions with commercial teams to reduce future financial exposure.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, standard work, and network optimization efforts as business needs evolve.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive planning experience in areas such as network planning, inventory management, supply chain operations, distribution, or logistics.
- Experience within the medical device, healthcare, or regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong experience with MRP and advanced planning systems (KINAXIS, SAP/SNP strongly preferred).
- APICS / ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
Skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Knowledge of MS Office, Microsoft Power BI or similar data visualization tools preferred.
- Hands-on experience with KINAXIS, SAP, SAP SNP or similar planning systems.
- Proven track record of driving sustainable supply chain process improvements.
- CI mindset with a practical, execution-focused approach.
- Proactive self-starter with strong ownership and accountability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence across functions and levels.
- Ability to successfully complete planning case studies and knowledge assessments.
Schedule
This role requires a minimum of 4 days of in-office presence per week at the Franklin Lakes, NJ location.
Pay
Salary range: $120,300.00 - $192,400.00 USD annually, plus annual bonus and potential discretionary long-term incentive (LTI) bonus.
