Senior Network Advisor

Non-exempt position; overtime paid at 1.5× base rate for hours over 40 per week or as required by state/local law.

About the role

As a Senior Advisor in IT Network Development, you will define and implement effective global network strategies, design secure network solutions that enhance the sharing of applications, information, and resources across the company, and coordinate with multiple vendors and departments to meet current and future business needs.

Responsibilities

• Define network business requirements and implement effective global network strategies.
• Design secure network solutions to maximize application and resource sharing across the company.
• Coordinate with vendors and departments to procure network-related hardware, software, and services.
• Investigate and resolve network problems, inefficiencies, and performance issues.
• Create and share roadmaps and technical support to determine network business needs.
• Evaluate, test, recommend, and implement specific network solutions.
• Research emerging network technologies and make recommendations based on future business needs.
• Schedule and coordinate installation and maintenance of network hardware/software.
• Provide ongoing information to leadership, customers, and peers regarding network health and enhancements.
• Mentor and instruct lower-level engineers on technical expertise and data analysis.
• Drive the planning, design, and architecture of the global data network infrastructure.

Requirements

• Advanced technical support experience within IT network development.
• Proven experience in establishing project plans, business cases, and documentation.
• Strong ability to define network priorities related to business goals and objectives.
• Experience in complex testing and analysis of network facilities.
• Proficiency in using protocol analyzers and network test equipment.
• Experience in consulting services for analysis and design of integrated systems.
• Ability to mentor team members and ensure adequate training for assignments.

Pay

$70.00 – $76.00 per hour.
