Senior Network Penetration Tester / Red Teamer
About the role
Our Client is looking for a Senior Penetration Tester / Red Teamer to plan and execute advanced offensive security engagements across enterprise environments. This position will perform penetration testing, red team exercises, adversary simulations, and vulnerability assessments across networks, applications, infrastructure, and Active Directory environments. The ideal candidate has hands-on red teaming experience, strong Active Directory expertise, and the ability to clearly communicate technical findings and remediation recommendations to both technical and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute complex penetration testing and red team engagements across enterprise environments.
- Conduct network, application, infrastructure, and Active Directory security assessments.
- Perform adversary simulations that replicate realistic attack techniques and threat actor behavior.
- Identify vulnerabilities, security weaknesses, and misconfigurations across client environments.
- Conduct in-depth technical analysis to determine vulnerability impact and potential attack paths.
- Develop clear and actionable recommendations for remediation and security improvement.
- Prepare detailed technical reports documenting findings, risks, attack methods, and recommended corrective actions.
- Present security findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with defensive security teams to improve detection and incident response capabilities.
- Contribute to the development of offensive security tools, techniques, and testing methodologies.
- Mentor junior security professionals and provide technical guidance during engagements.
- Maintain current knowledge of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, exploits, attack techniques, and security technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of professional red teaming experience.
- Minimum 3 years of professional Active Directory experience.
- Experience planning and executing complex penetration tests and adversary simulations in enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of penetration testing and modern red team methodologies.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices across networks, systems, and applications.
- Experience identifying and analyzing vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and attack paths.
- Proficiency with offensive security tools and platforms such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, Cobalt Strike, Nmap, and Kali Linux.
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation and communicate security findings to technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience with malware development, reverse engineering, or exploit development is preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, OSEP, CRTO, GPEN, or comparable offensive security certifications are preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively while handling sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
