Senior Network Engineer (Palo Alto)

Job Summary

Tennessee Design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN, WLAN, and WAN environments for optimal performance, scalability, and security.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Palo Alto firewall infrastructure, including policy management and network segmentation.
• Collaborate with Leadership in Germany for Palo Alto firewall initiatives.
• Lead efforts in Network Access Control (NAC).
• Manage and support Cisco networking equipment, including fiber switches and UCS blade servers.
• Work with Extreme Networks hardware and solutions.
• Collaborate with a small IT Infrastructure team; willingness to support adjacent areas such as virtualization, storage, and server administration.
• Utilize experience with Generic Network Engineer technologies to address broad IT infrastructure needs.
• Ensure the integrity and security of the overall network environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise LAN, WLAN, and WAN environments.
• Expertise in Palo Alto firewall administration and optimization.
• Knowledge of Network Access Control (NAC) systems.
• Experience with Cisco networking equipment, including fiber switches and UCS blade servers.
• Experience with Extreme Networks hardware and solutions.
• Willingness to collaborate across IT teams and support multiple areas within IT infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in network engineering or a related field.
• CCNP certification preferred.

Pay

• $80,000 - $90,000 annually.
