Senior Network Engineer
About the Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to assist with the installation, configuration, and management of network infrastructure in a challenging and diverse environment. You will provide direct support to internal team members and external clients via phone, email, chat, or in person. Candidates should be self-motivated with excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, and must be a strong team player able to collaborate effectively.
Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, diagnose, and resolve customer issues within the network.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for the network infrastructure.
- Resolve incidents directly with end users and record detailed actions in the ticketing tool.
- Collaborate with 3rd party vendors to ensure network operational continuity.
- Escalate issues to the next level of support if unable to resolve in a timely manner.
- Ensure all aspects of the entire enterprise cloud networks are architecturally sound and highly available.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience managing enterprise networks (Cisco, f5, Juniper) is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience specifically in network design, planning, connectivity, migration, and support.
- Knowledge and understanding of common network protocols (e.g., TCP, UDP, STP, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
- Certifications are highly recommended (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, JNCIS, JNCIP, etc.).
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Retail, Fuel Operations, or Supply Chain.
Work Environment
This is a contract position starting with a 3-month term and the possibility of extension. Location: Irving, TX (Hybrid/Onsite).
Pay
The approximate pay range for this position is between $50.00 and $60.00 per hour. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
