Senior Network Engineer (KEY-NE3-03.080626)

About the Role

Provides network support requiring system-level design, architecture, or enterprise security and security boundaries. Responsibilities include datacenter virtualization, CAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure, packet capture software, TCP/IP protocol stack, routing/switching protocols, stateful firewalls, and L3/L4 access controls.

Responsibilities

• Physical installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network routers, switches, load balancers, and security devices
• Support on-call requirements and work in a live call environment using ticketing systems like Remedy
• Utilize tools such as Cisco IOS, CatOS, NxOS, Ciscoworks, TACACS+, ASA, FWSM, HP Openview, F5/Cisco load balancers, Infiniband, Juniper, FiberChannel (FC) SAN, and VPN (IPSEC)
• Apply strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack, routing/switching protocols, L2/L3 protocols, stateful firewalls, and L3 access controls
• Work with virtualization products including VMWare and Solaris containers
• Use Atlassian Tool Suite for network engineering tasks

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with both Polygraphs is required
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university OR 8+ years of demonstrable experience in network engineering (LAN), architecture, monitoring, security, and protection OR no degree + 10+ years of experience
• Datacenter network design and architecture experience, including installation and configuration of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPSEC virtual private networks
• 2 years of additional relevant experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree
