About the role
MANDEX currently has a need for a Senior Network Engineer for Europe to join their team based in Charleston, SC. The role is responsible for senior-level LAN/WLAN/WAN network support, troubleshooting, configuration management, documentation, network performance, and regional/enterprise technical leadership for Defense Health Agency (DHA) networked facilities in Europe.
Responsibilities
- Identify, analyze, and resolve complex LAN, WLAN, and WAN network issues.
- Perform advanced installation, configuration, documentation, management, and troubleshooting of network communication equipment.
- Demonstrate expert-level experience with routed, switched, and shared LAN environments.
- Possess advanced experience with Cisco networking technologies.
- Support and administer Windows-based network environments.
- Utilize and manage Orion SolarWinds, ARMIS, and Ansible.
- Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, VPN devices, and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).
- Perform network diagnostics, performance monitoring, and network administration using industry-standard tools.
- Demonstrate proficiency with networking protocols and technologies, including: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, BGP, OSPF, RIPv2, Routing and switching, WAN connectivity, and IEEE 802.x standards.
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) Health Care Information Systems.
- Experience with Zero Trust architectures and cybersecurity methodologies is highly desired.
- Cook up and administer DHA regional network operations in a mission-focused environment.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering, technical degree, or related discipline with at least five years of directly related experience; or successful completion of a certified Technical or Vocational School with 10 years of directly related experience gained through progressively higher levels of complexity.
- Certification: IAM Level III, CCNP, CISSP Security Level.
- Security Clearance: Must possess and be able to maintain a security clearance.
- Travel Requirements: Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. Must have a valid passport and be willing to travel CONUS and OCONUS.
- Other Requirements: Must be a U.S Citizen.
