Senior Network Engineer/Developer
Responsibilities
Develop specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
Conduct cost-benefit analyses and support hardware/software selection decisions.
Perform testing and validation of network designs.
Monitor network hardware to verify proper configuration and performance.
Plan and execute network enhancements and upgrades.
Advises users on hardware requirements, configurations, and limitations.
Maintain deep technical expertise across routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, and related infrastructure.
Evaluate emerging communications technologies for future deployment.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI + CI Poly clearance
- Bachelor's degree, 12-15 years of relevant experience; Master's degree, 10-13 years; Doctorate, 10+ years
- One or more of the following DoD 8570/CS-NET-441 certifications: CASP+, CISSP, GCED
- One or more of the following network certifications: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP Enterprise/Security), Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), Juniper Networks Certified Professional (JNCIP)
Desired Qualifications
- AWS Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional (if cloud networking is in scope)
- Microsoft or VMware networking-related certifications
- Palo Alto PCNSE
- Check Point CCSA/CCSE
- Cisco DevNet Professional
- Python automation certifications
- Ansible Network Automation certification
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer/Developer to join our Task Order proposal on the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise III (SITE III).
The Senior Network Engineer/Developer will design, plan, develop, test, secure, and optimize enterprise-level network solutions in support of mission-critical operations.
This position plays a key part in the architecture, evaluation, deployment, and modernization of network communications systems across the agency.
