Senior Network Engineer

About the Role

Design, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco network infrastructure (Nexus, Catalyst, ASR) for live broadcast environments. Ensure low-latency IP network performance for live broadcast workflows and collaborate closely with broadcast engineering and production teams. Work onsite in Bristol, CT (or nearby regions) from day one.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, and HSRP/VRRP in production settings
• Configure and manage multicast protocols (IGMP, PIM-SM, SSM) for real-time media transport
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to packet loss, jitter, and routing instability during live events
• Participate in change management processes and support live network cutovers

Requirements

• 5+ years of Cisco routing and switching experience
• Recent hands-on experience in broadcast/media production environments (e.g., ESPN, NBC, Fox Sports, Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with SMPTE ST 2110
• QoS tuning for video
• Experience with spine-leaf architectures
