  • Integrate monitoring tools with network infrastructure, cloud platforms, and Kubernetes environments.
  • Develop and maintain automation workflows (Ansible, Python) to support monitoring and onboarding activities.
  • Configure event management, alerting, and correlation policies to reduce noise and improve incident response.
  • Troubleshoot complex monitoring and performance issues across network and server environments.
  • Support device onboarding, configuration changes, and incident response activities.
  • Collaborate with vendors, operations teams, and architects to ensure comprehensive monitoring coverage.
  • Participate in architectural reviews and planning discussions.
  • Provide documentation, diagrams, and operational guidance; mentor junior engineers as needed.

Experience / Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in network engineering, monitoring, or observability roles.
  • 3–5+ years of hands‑on experience with enterprise monitoring platforms (ScienceLogic, NetScout, VOSS, Dynatrace, SolarWinds).
  • Strong SNMP, NetFlow, syslog, and network protocol knowledge (TCP/IP, ICMP).
  • Experience onboarding and monitoring routers, switches, firewalls, cloud VMs, and Kubernetes clusters.
  • Automation experience using Ansible and/or Python is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in Linux and Windows environments.
  • Experience producing technical documentation and network diagrams (Visio).
  • Strong communication skills; able to work with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Prior federal or large enterprise network experience preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.

Clearance

  • EOD eligibility is required.
  • Must be a United States Citizen and pass a background check.
  • Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’s Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
