Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement enterprise-grade wired, wireless, and WAN networks across corporate offices, retail stores, and distribution centers
- Install, configure, and support network infrastructure (firewalls, routers, switches, wireless controllers, access points, load balancers, SD-WAN)
- Lead network security initiatives including firewall policies, segmentation, 802.1X, NAC, VPN, and zero-trust frameworks
- Maintain comprehensive network documentation (topology diagrams, runbooks, IP schemas, SOPs)
- Monitor and optimize network performance through capacity planning, packet analysis, and root-cause troubleshooting
- Design and maintain high-availability and failover solutions to ensure business continuity
- Manage change control for upgrades, patching, and configurations in alignment with ITIL processes
- Configure and optimize VoIP, QoS, and routing/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF)
- Partner with vendors and MSPs for technology evaluation, procurement, and implementation oversight
- Mentor junior engineers and provide escalation/on-call support
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Infrastructure and Security teams (VMware, Dell systems, Active Directory, AWS/Azure)
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, environmental health & safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive safety leadership experience, including multi-site oversight within a distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, or eCommerce environment.
- Demonstrated success implementing safety programs that reduce incident rates and improve compliance outcomes.
- Extensive working knowledge of Cal/OSHA and Federal OSHA regulations, including experience managing audits and regulatory inspections.
- Proven experience leading safety teams in large workforce environments (1,000+ employees; 3,000+ preferred).
- Strong understanding of workers’ compensation, experience modification factors, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Experience building safety infrastructure from a strategic level, including policies, SOPs, dashboards, and training programs.
- Professional safety certifications are highly preferred (CSP, CIH, CHST, or equivalent).
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and strategic planning skills.
- OSHA certifications are highly desirable.

Physical Demands
- Sitting/Standing: Will be required to sit for extended periods while working at a desk, using a computer, and attending virtual meetings. Occasional standing may be required during in-person meetings or when visiting different departments.
- Walking: The role may require walking through the warehouse or office space to engage with employees, observe operations, or attend team meetings.
- Typing and Computer Use: Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse for email correspondence, data entry. This includes typing for long periods to update records, create reports, and communicate with employees.
- Communication: Clear verbal communication is necessary, including speaking with employees in person, on the phone, or via video conferencing. Active listening skills are required to understand employee concerns and provide effective support.
- Light Lifting: Occasionally it may be required to lift or move items such as files, small office equipment, or boxes up to 15 pounds when assisting with department-related tasks or organizing materials.
- Visual and Auditory Demands: Ability to visually review documents and reports, as well as monitor employee performance and wellbeing through meetings, observations, and discussions. Hearing and understanding verbal communication is essential for effective interaction with employees.
