Senior Network Engineer

Entarian is seeking a Network Engineer to support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) Expeditionary Enterprise Systems and Services (E2S2) Division. NIWC Atlantic provides design, acquisition, and sustainment services for Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) Information Technology (IT) systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the creation of hybrid software, web, and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance.
• Work with Marine Corps networks (enterprise and/or tactical).
• Implement and manage Cisco Software Defined Wide Area Network (SDWAN).
• Configure and maintain Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).
• Experience with carrier networks (e.g., Verizon).
• Deploy and manage Dynamic Multipoint Virtual Private Network (DMVPN) / Flex VPN.
• Work with High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryption (HAIPE) devices.
• Handle Multicast networking.
• Integrate various network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices through system specification, design, coding, testing, and maintenance support.
• Design overall projects including cost, schedule, and social considerations.
• Travel up to 45 days per year, including several weeklong trips.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BS, BA, or AS) from an ABET-accredited program.
• Active Top Secret Level Clearance.
• Seven (7) years of IT professional experience.

• Work toward relevant certifications within one and a half years after assuming duties, such as:
  • Professional Software Engineering Master (PSEM) / Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP)
  • Microsoft role-based certifications (e.g., MCAD, MCDBA)
  • Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP)
  • CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  • CISCO Certified Design Professional (CCDP)
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
  • VMWare Certified Professional (VCP)
  • Cloud certifications

Schedule

• Flexible 5-days a week on-site with 1 optional telework day.
• Core hours are 0800 – 1400.
