About the role
Chugach is seeking a senior network engineer in the Tampa Bay area to join its team and assist with designing and implementing new architecture into an existing DoD environment. You will be part of a team of network engineers analyzing current infrastructure reliability for the purpose of optimizing and new technology insertion. You will also travel globally to conduct site surveys and install hardware into existing networks. This position works in a hybrid DoD lab environment, collaborating with various stakeholders to stay at the forefront of new and emerging technologies.
Responsibilities
- Working knowledge of IP protocols, routing, switching, acceleration, encryption, firewalls, and devices at an advanced level
- Travel globally to conduct site surveys and install hardware into an existing network
- Perform advanced troubleshooting across WAN
- Perform circuit testing and activation utilizing test equipment
- Work independently and in a team environment, collaborating on best practices and performance improvement
- Effectively communicate complex technical information at all levels
- Minimum six years of experience supporting C4I networks, designing, implementing, testing, and evaluation of enterprise IT services
- Develop network engineering documentation, plans, and diagrams
Requirements
- TS clearance with SCI obtainability
- Industry Certification: Security+
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to successfully pass any background check and/or drug testing required on the contract
Preferred:
- Master’s Degree
- Industry certifications: CCNA, CCNP
- Cloud computing experience
- Software-Defined Networking experience
Working Conditions
This is a hybrid position. The selected candidate will be required to work from the office as needed, based on business requirements.
