About the role

We are seeking a Senior Network Automation Engineer with a strong foundation in enterprise networking and infrastructure design. This role is focused on modernizing large-scale network environments through automation, infrastructure refresh initiatives, and network engineering best practices. The ideal candidate is a network engineer first, with proven experience automating network operations, provisioning, and modernization efforts.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across data center, campus, and remote site environments.
• Develop and maintain automation solutions for network provisioning, configuration management, device refreshes, and software upgrades.
• Build and enhance network automation workflows using Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Integrate automation platforms with REST APIs, CMDBs, and infrastructure management systems.
• Participate in network modernization and large-scale hardware/software refresh projects.
• Troubleshoot issues related to network deployments, automation workflows, and infrastructure changes.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and operations teams to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Support AI-assisted and spec-driven development initiatives for infrastructure automation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on enterprise network engineering experience.
• CCNP-level networking knowledge (CCNP preferred; strong CCNA candidates considered).
• Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, switching, routing, and network design principles.
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise, data center, campus, or edge network environments.
• Hands-on network automation experience within infrastructure environments.
• Experience with Python, Ansible, Terraform, or comparable automation frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and infrastructure integrations.
• Experience supporting large-scale network refresh, migration, or modernization projects.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor degree and equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CMDB integrations and automated provisioning workflows.
• Background in data center buildouts or enterprise infrastructure transformation programs.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development, Spec-Driven Development (SDD), or infrastructure automation using AI tools.
• Experience working in change-controlled enterprise environments.
