Senior Network Analyst

The Ontario County is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Senior Network Analyst position.

About the role

This position involves maintaining, configuring, or installing personal computer hardware and software for local area networks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and configure local area networks.
• Install and troubleshoot personal computer hardware and software.
• Provide technical support to end-users.
• Perform network diagnostics and repairs.
• Implement and manage network security protocols.

Requirements

• Minimum qualifications can be met through one of the following options:
• Option 1: Possession of Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Data Processing, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field AND four (4) years of full-time paid, or its part time equivalent, experience responsible for the maintenance, configuration or installation of personal computer hardware and software for local area networks.
• Option 2: Possession of an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Data Processing, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field AND six (6) years of full-time paid, or its part time equivalent, experience as described in Option 1.
• Option 3: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma AND eight (8) years of full-time paid, or its part-time equivalent, experience as described in Option 1.
• Option 4: An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of Options 1, 2, and 3.

Qualifications

• Experience with network infrastructure design and implementation.
• Knowledge of network protocols and standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Skills

• Proficiency in network management tools and software.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Benefits

The 2026 salary for this position is $47.53/hr with a comprehensive benefits package including paid holidays, paid leave, 3% match to deferred compensation, full health and dental insurance, wellness program, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), professional development training, and New York State Retirement Pension.
