Senior NetSuite Administrator & Architect

About the Role

Seakeeper is the global leader in marine stabilization, transforming the way people experience life on the water. As our Sr. NetSuite Administrator & Architect, you'll own both the hands-on administration and the design authority of our NetSuite environment, which underpins order-to-cash, procurement, inventory, manufacturing, warranty, financials, HRIS, and our dealer-facing commerce site. You'll have autonomy over platform design and accountability for its stability, scalability, and longevity.

Responsibilities

  • Platform Architecture & Roadmap
    • Own the NetSuite architecture end-to-end, including module landscape, data model, and custom record design.
    • Develop and maintain a multi-year technical roadmap alongside the product owner, deciding what to adopt, retire, or build.
    • Lead design decisions (configuration vs. customization, module choice, integration patterns) and document them before development.
    • Enforce a "configure-before-customize" approach, ensuring customizations are justified and reviewed.
    • Set technical standards for NetSuite contractors and integration vendors, and review their deliverables.
  • Integration & API Management
    • Define integration architecture, patterns, and standards for systems connected to NetSuite (e.g., warehouse platforms, payment processors).
    • Own the NetSuite side of integrations, including endpoints, RESTlets, SuiteTalk, authentication, field mappings, and error handling.
    • Govern API access, including credentials, rate limits, and monitoring to catch failures proactively.
  • Security & User Administration
    • Design and maintain roles, permissions, and segregation of duties across the platform.
    • Maintain restricted access to sensitive financial and employee data, auditing access on a defined cycle.
    • Hold admin-level access as one of a small, trusted group and govern who else receives it.
  • System Configuration & Enhancement
    • Configure forms, fields, records, workflows, and approval routings.
    • Enable and maintain modules across finance, inventory, manufacturing, quality, warranty, HRIS, CRM, and commerce.
    • Automate manual work using native functionality first; script only as a last resort.
  • Release & Change Management
    • Test NetSuite’s semiannual releases against critical processes and coordinate schedules with Oracle ACS.
    • Own the production gate: ensure nothing deploys without documented requirements, test scripts, and business sign-off.
    • Run impact analysis before each release and validate customizations and integrations afterward.
  • Platform Health, Performance & Recoverability
    • Monitor script efficiency, governance limits, and response times; plan for growth in volume and storage.
    • Own the data backup and export strategy, including tested recovery procedures for mass updates.
  • Data Integrity & Automation
    • Maintain master data integrity across items, BOMs, customers, vendors, and employees.
    • Design and drive automation of high-volume, repetitive data work to reduce manual exceptions.
    • Support data migration during acquisitions and system implementations.
  • Reporting & Analytics
    • Build and maintain saved searches, dashboards, and KPIs used company-wide.
    • Support SuiteAnalytics and the Power BI reporting layer.
  • Business Partnership & Support
    • Identify efficiency opportunities across finance, operations, sales, manufacturing, and HR, and implement system improvements.
    • Serve as the primary liaison to Oracle ACS and NetSuite Support, managing the case queue, relationship, and development-hours budget.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
    • Document every configuration decision, customization, and integration, including the reasoning behind them.
    • Cross-train teammates to ensure documentation is thorough and not an afterthought.

Requirements

  • Must-Haves
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Accounting, or a related field (8+ years of progressive ERP experience may substitute).
    • 5+ years administering NetSuite in a production environment, including 2+ years as a senior or lead administrator.
    • Experience in a manufacturing or physical-product environment (BOMs, MRP, work orders, warranty).
    • Demonstrated ownership of the NetSuite security model (role design, permissions, segregation of duties, sensitive-data access).
    • Experience running NetSuite release cycles and sandbox-to-production change management.
    • Ability to read and evaluate SuiteScript and workflows (not primary development, but able to judge others' work).
    • Hands-on experience integrating NetSuite with other business systems, including APIs (SuiteTalk, RESTlets), authentication, and monitoring.
    • Experience protecting a business-critical SaaS platform: backup strategy, version control, documented recovery.
    • Track record of working directly with finance, operations, and manufacturing stakeholders to translate needs into system design.
    • Proven hands-on experience with NetSuite configuration, role/permission design, manufacturing/inventory/order-to-cash at scale, saved searches/dashboards, master data management, sandbox strategy, integration platforms, API governance, and performance management.
  • Nice-to-Haves
    • NetSuite certification (SuiteFoundation, Certified Administrator, ERP Consultant, or SuiteAnalytics).
    • SuiteCommerce Advanced or dealer/partner portal exposure.
    • Experience managing an Oracle ACS relationship or equivalent managed-services engagement.
    • Exposure to a CRM or HCM implementation alongside NetSuite.

Schedule

This is an on-site position based at our Leesburg, PA or Fort Myers, FL location. Up to 10–15% travel to other Seakeeper locations may be required.

Team

You’ll be part of the Enterprise Applications team within Business Technology, working closely with business systems analysts, a NetSuite developer, integration platform teams, and software engineering. This role is designed to have a rare, broad scope with significant autonomy and impact.
