About the role
Stantec GS seeks a Senior NEPA Project Manager to support Department of Defense (DoD) work in the Pacific. This position plays an integral part in the firm's growing NEPA practice based in Honolulu.
Responsibilities
- Extensive direct client engagement, including NEPA project execution and new work development with clients
- Managing complex DoD NEPA projects within the Pacific region
- Planning and supporting local marketing activities
- Developing and executing federal, state, and local business development plans
- Aiding in the cultivation of sustainable and growing client relationships
- Assisting in the development of winning relationships with local business partners, particularly small businesses
- Authoring and managing Hawaii Environmental Policy Act (HEPA) documents
Requirements
- Demonstrated NEPA experience with DoD clients, especially in the Pacific region
- Strong local network within the federal engineering, planning, and/or environmental community
- Experience in management/leadership positions and training/mentoring staff
- Proven success in leading teams to achieve client objectives
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Pre-employment drug screen required
- Security clearance required (IAW NISPOM)
Credentials
- Demonstrated and enduring experience conducting business within the Pacific region
- Strong relationships with federal clients
- High performer with the ability to self-motivate and achieve results
- Professional discretion and judgement
- Master’s degree in relevant field preferred (Environmental Studies, Biology, Wildlife Biology, Engineering, Community/Urban Planning, or similar fields)
- Professional registration/certification (PE, AICP, PMP, RA, etc) preferred, but not necessary
Preferred
- Contacts with local state, city/county, education, or industrial/commercial entities in Hawaii/Pacific
Education and Experience
- BS/BA Degree in relevant field preferred (Environmental Studies, Biology, Wildlife Biology, Engineering, Community/Urban Planning, or similar fields)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the federal sector as a NEPA “seller-doer” authoring and managing NEPA documents
- Master’s Degree in relevant field preferred (Environmental Studies, Biology, Wildlife Biology, Engineering, Community/Urban Planning, or similar fields)

Pay
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
