About the role
The Senior Naval Science Instructor (SNSI) at Tuloso-Midway ISD will lead naval science programs, instruct students on naval history, operations, and principles, and prepare students for future naval careers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement naval science curriculum aligned with state standards and Navy requirements.
- Teach naval science courses to high school students, including lectures, labs, and field trips.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback through regular evaluations and reports.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate naval science concepts across the curriculum.
- Participate in professional development activities to stay updated on naval science advancements and Navy initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as education, marine science, or a related discipline.
- Valid Texas teaching certificate in Professional/Certified - Other (Certified).
- At least 3 years of teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
- Experience in naval science or equivalent military training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
