Senior Municipal Engineer
About the role
We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Municipal Engineer. Our team works with local communities on a wide range of civil, municipal, and environmental projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed technical engineering reports.
- Prepare or modify plans, specifications, construction schedules, permits, and cost and quantity estimates for public works projects.
- Work with Construction Observers/Resident Technicians during all facets of construction.
- Assist Project Manager in completing project within budget and on schedule.
- Client contact including attendance at board or council meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering required.
- Minimum 10 years of civil engineering design experience preferred/desired.
- Iowa PE license or ability to obtain within 1 year preferred.
- Previous roadway, storm sewer, sanitary collection sewers and water distribution design experience desired.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
