Marble Collegiate Church, a vibrant, diverse, and inclusive community of faith in New York, NY, seeks a dynamic and inspiring Senior Minister to spiritually lead and build a sustainable future for its congregation. Guided by the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, Marble inspires people to think positively, live with purpose, and make a meaningful difference in the world. This role offers an opportunity for a gifted preacher, pastor, theologian, and leader to shape the next chapter of this iconic church.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Marble’s primary pastoral, theological, and organizational leader, providing strategic leadership and a compelling vision for the church’s spiritual future.
• Deliver inspired, biblically grounded preaching to a diverse in-person congregation and a national/global audience through livestreamed worship and online offerings.
• Partner with ministerial staff, Marble staff, and the Marble Board to strengthen and grow the community, deepening the lives of congregants and engaging an expanding online audience.
• Cultivate a welcoming and inclusive culture grounded in compassion, patience, forgiveness, and respect for different perspectives.
• Create a compelling vision for Marble’s future rooted in its faith, history, and enduring legacy.
• Honor and carry forward the church’s extraordinary legacy while building an inclusive and long-lasting community for generations to come.

Qualifications

• A gifted preacher, pastor, theologian, and leader with a strong commitment to the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
• Approachable and engaged pastoral presence with the ability to connect with a diverse congregation.
• Visionary thinker capable of shaping a sustainable and inclusive future for the church.
• Experience in leading and growing faith communities, both in-person and online.
• Deep understanding of and commitment to Marble’s values of inclusivity, compassion, and respect.
