About the role

A Senior Mid-Market Account Executive on our Mid-Market Sales team assists in Datadog’s overall business growth by strategically engaging and closing net-new customers in mid-to-large size markets (1000-5000 HC).

Responsibilities

  • Focus entirely on net-new logo acquisition; proven in and committed to self-prospecting
  • Leverage tools such as Sales Navigator and DiscoverOrg and the established framework and methodology in place
  • Strategically prospect into Chief Technology Officers, Engineering/IT Leaders, and technical end users
  • Manage complex and lengthy deal cycles autonomously
  • Collaborate seamlessly across the business including with SDRs to drive top of funnel activity, with Sales Ops, Engineering, Project Management, and more
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including negotiations and on-site technical demonstrations
  • Leverage the ecosystem, network, partners environment

Requirements

  • Masterful in hunting and closing net new logos
  • Achieved in strategically mapping out and breaking into accounts through application of MEDDICC (or other) methodology, building Champions, uncovering pain and qualifying opportunities
  • Negotiate favourable business terms by selling value and ROI
  • Curious, motivated, and driven as a sales person
  • Bold on the phones and creative in your emails
  • Able to sit up to 6 hours, traveling to and from client sites via auto, train, or air, up to 50% of the time

Qualifications

  • Experience in B2B sales, preferably in the tech industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other relevant tools
  • Knowledge of cloud-based solutions and IT infrastructure

  • Technical understanding of IT and cloud solutions

Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Schedule

Work is primarily remote, with occasional travel to client sites up to 50% of the time.
