Senior Metrology Specialist
About the role
We are seeking a Senior Metrology Specialist to join IQVIA Laboratories at Valencia.
Responsibilities
- Install, qualify, and onboard new laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and associated control software in accordance with SOPs
- Perform calibration, verification, preventative maintenance, and lifecycle documentation for validated instrumentation
- Troubleshoot, repair, and coordinate vendor support for analytical instruments to minimize downtime
- Partner cross-functionally with Facilities, IT, Quality, and Supply Chain to support infrastructure, inventory, and compliance needs
- Develop, maintain, and improve preventative maintenance programs, including risk assessments and gap analyses
- Serve as subject matter expert during audits and inspections and support resolution of quality incidents and CAPAs
- Train and mentor employees on equipment use, maintenance practices, and metrology procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or other equivalent combination of education and experience
- Four years of experience in a laboratory environment
- Hands-on experience in calibration, verification, and repair of measuring and test equipment
- Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office, with strong Excel capability
Qualifications
- Ability to troubleshoot complex laboratory equipment and interpret engineering documentation and schematics
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, lead initiatives, and deliver projects to completion

Pay
The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $58,800.00 - $122,500.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time).
