About the role
The Senior Metrology Technician operates within the Metrology Lab as a focal point for training, equipment maintenance, and overflow analysis support. Additional tasks may be delegated to meet the needs of production.
Responsibilities
- Focal for data collection, equipment handling, and analysis training
- Support production analysis as needed, focusing on building analysis skillsets in production
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop metrology processes with Project Engineering groups
- Develop metrology training
- Perform preventive maintenance on machines including daily inspections, weekly maintenance, and annual maintenance
- Understand and execute advanced assembly procedures, including detailed hardware installation, in-process and final assembly of a wide variety of tooling, parts, and models
- Read and understand blueprints and/or CAD models
- Work in a quality capacity to an auditable level of consistency
- Identify and obtain necessary equipment, tools, and materials for job functions
- Perform on-the-job training, AS9100, and Nadcap training as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
Requirements
- Attention to detail and quality required
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and/or CAD models
- Advanced Assembly Procedures including detailed hardware installation, in-process and final assembly of a wide variety of tooling, parts, and models
- Understanding of mill gauging procedures
- Quality capacity to an auditable level of consistency
- Identification and obtaining of equipment, tools, and materials needed to perform job functions
- Perform on-the-job training, AS9100, and Nadcap training as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required, college level or trade school education preferred
- 5 years or more of operating machinery in a manufacturing environment required
- Effective verbal and written communication skills

Pay
The wage range for this role is between $20 - $45 an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki's estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
Schedule
This position is for weekend/swing shift.
