Senior Metrics and Data Analyst

Requirements

• Experience in the United States Navy as a Post-Command Commander afloat or equivalent
• Five years’ experience on Echelon 3 or higher staff
• Five years’ experience in database design and management
• Five years’ experience in data analysis for complex projects
• Experience with analyzing specific metrics embedded within the PESTONI (Personnel, Equipment, Supply, Training, Ordnance, Infrastructure/Networks) pillars of analysis
• Ability to develop a comprehensive understanding of the Surface Force’s business practices, primary (organic) data sources, secondary (non-organic) data needs, data gaps, and organic analytic capabilities to inform the development of a meaningful data visualization tool suite and predictive modeling needs for decision-makers at all levels
• Demonstrated experience developing and applying machine learning models, predictive analytics, and AI-driven data interpretation to complex defense problems
• Proficiency in leveraging modern data analytics platforms and languages (e.g., Python, R) to perform statistical analysis and build financial and operational risk models
• Highly proficient and experienced with Microsoft Office, especially Access, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience in producing executive-level analytical products and reports
• Master’s degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university (a major in an Analytics or Computer related field is highly desired)
• Secret security clearance required
