Overview

Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior MEP Practice Builder to expand their MEP practice in Florida.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management role in conjunction with lead engineer responsibilities.
  • Requires the ability to oversee the MEP design of projects from concept to completion, including continuous interface with the design team and clients.
  • Proven design experience with comfort and MEP systems and related controls.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability.
  • Write responses to Requests for Proposals and Requests for Qualifications for various clients and marketing opportunities.
  • Able to work individually or in a multi-discipline team.
  • Mentor and coordinate the work of designers and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects.
  • Manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of related experience.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • Proven design experience with comfort and MEP systems and related controls.
  • Proven design experience with plumbing systems including water, sewer, and gas.
  • Experience producing engineering and energy studies including comcheck, Title 24.
  • Proven experience mentoring and coordinating the work of EITs, designers, and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects.
  • Able to manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance.
  • Experience in AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability.
  • Able to work individually or in a multi-discipline team.
