Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with engineers, design consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and owner’s representatives to ensure alignment with client goals and expectations.
- Aid the pre-construction team with estimating, scheduling, project logistics, and constructability reviews as it relates to MEP systems.
- Aid the scheduling team in developing detailed MEP installation activities, including resource loading.
- Visit project sites and provide site inspections of MEP.
- Maintain oversight of projects for adherence to plans and specifications, contractual requirements, code compliance, and industry standards such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, etc.
- Monitor the performance of MEP trades and prepare appropriate reports to communicate with the project team.
- Schedule and monitor the HVAC Test & Balance Read reports, diagnose potential issues, and review those with the project team and mechanical contractor.
- Manage the construction team’s involvement in the commissioning of building systems.
- Aid in the development of commissioning plans and schedules.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management or a related discipline OR 10+ years working on large scale construction, with MEP trade specific experience.
- Strong experience in healthcare, pharma and/or advanced manufacturing projects.
- Thorough knowledge of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and low-voltage systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of Building Automation Systems and sequences.
- General understanding of Building Codes, Mechanical Codes, Electrical Codes and Plumbing Codes as they relate to the construction of a project.
- Strong experience in managing relationships with owner representatives, architects, engineers, and clients professionally while supervising subcontractors and vendors is a priority.
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
