Senior Member of Research Staff, Optimization

This role supports financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives that strengthen business visibility and decision-making. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a regulated financial services environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and enhance large-scale constrained optimization methods for trading decisions
• Oversee complex projects impacting critical systems
• Analyze new datasets and assess their predictive efficacy
• Develop and implement new models into production
• Conduct experiments to evaluate new models in live environments
• Mentor researchers and provide guidance to team members
• Communicate complex issues effectively with stakeholders

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of experience in optimization techniques and project leadership
• Proficient in numerical methods and optimization solvers
• Strong capabilities in managing multiple, complex projects
• Expertise in mathematical programming and computational problem-solving
• Solid background in machine learning and statistical methods
• Skilled in production coding, preferably Python and/or C++
• Effective communicator of technical concepts across disciplines
• Ph.D. level coursework required, Ph.D. preferred

Pay

$130,000 – $180,000 annually
