Brief Description Client & Team Interactions Serve as a scientific expert to clientsProvide scientific expertise during pitches, meetings, and discussions with client and teamOversee Projects: In collaboration with CS, monitor efficiency of projects and processCreate high quality content and execute exceptional research to support internal and external projectsServe as MSS lead for designated projects: create content and manage assigned tasksBuild relationship with clients through regular and consistent engagement on calls or in meetings: Be Proactive and Solution-OrientedReviews timeline for agreementEnsure capacity is met as directed by manager and proactively reaches out to manager or team members to support when under capacity: Be supportiveThe ability to reason and problem solve from multiple perspectives and help resolution of situations that arise between team members/cross account teams Business Development Provide scientific and market guidance and support in writing scientific portions of proposals Conduct research and identify key strategic imperatives for pitches and/or proposalsRecommend strategic and tactical ideas and points of view of market events with the client services team to foster organic growthCollaborate with Client Services regularly to discuss tactical brand needs and future planning Staffing Identify key areas of need and discuss solutions with CAT leadMay assist with interviews and provide feedback on potential hires as neededMay train new team members on specific tasks and assist in addressing challenges within the MSS teamProvide subject matter leadership and encourage/develop team-centric staffMay serve as a Peer Mentor to new hires as appropriateHelp support and integrate new members of Petauri Company Ensure company culture, policies, and standards of performance are metCommunicate and maintain trust relationships with team members and clientsAct as a public speaker and public relations representative of the company in ways that strengthen its profile Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions Requirements Advanced terminal degree in biomedical sciences, medicine, pharmacy, nursing, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in an agency, the pharmaceutical industry, or a related scientific or medical writing position in oncology or hematology. Proven ability to work independently. S/he will have detailed knowledge of product, competitive landscape, key literature, and evolving science in the field specific to that product and will stay abreast on current literature, and the competitive landscape. The Senior Medical Writer will collaborate closely as a strategic partner with Project Management and Client Services to establish project plans, identify, and anticipate issues that could come up that may affect timelines while meeting agency standards. The Senior Medial Writer will be responsible for research and content support of business development goals and is expected to support the organic growth of the account(s) they are assigned. All MSS roles directly support clients through content generation and strategy.
