Senior Medical Writer, Publications (Remote, US) Location: Remote (US-based) Schedule: Full-Time | Eastern Time hours preferred About the Opportunity EPM Scientific is partnered with a growing medical communications agency seeking a Senior Medical Writer, Publications to support the development of high-impact clinical publications and scientific communications. This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative team where writers serve as strategic scientific partners and work directly with pharmaceutical clients, investigators, and key stakeholders.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing Phase III clinical trial manuscripts and a strong ability to translate complex clinical data into compelling, publication-ready scientific narratives. Responsibilities Develop, review, and revise peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts, posters, congress presentations, slide decks, and related scientific communications.Lead the development of clinical trial manuscripts from source materials, including protocols, clinical study reports, statistical outputs, and clinical data.Partner directly with clients, authors, investigators, and internal teams to align on scientific messaging, publication strategy, and project timelines.Support the development of visual scientific communication materials, including figures, graphical abstracts, posters, and presentations.Ensure compliance with publication ethics and industry guidelines, including ICMJE and Good Publication Practice standards. Qualifications PhD, PharmD, or MDMinimum of 1 year of medical writing experience within medical communications, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or related environments.Direct experience serving as an acknowledged medical writer or author on at least one Phase III clinical trial manuscript submitted to a peer-reviewed journal.Demonstrated experience developing publications from protocols, CSRs, and other clinical study documentation.Strong understanding of clinical research, scientific data interpretation, publication planning, and publication ethics.Experience managing publication projects from initiation through submission and/or presentation.Interested in learning more?
