Senior Medical Writer

About the Role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Medical Writer to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen responsible execution, improve decision-making, and support sustainable growth within a life sciences environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $128,600 – $210,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Author clinical study reports, protocols, informed consent forms, and other regulatory documents
• Represent Medical Writing at meetings and drive document development strategies
• Identify key stakeholders for content decisions and synthesize their inputs into clear prose
• Review the work of junior writers and related CSR documents like Statistical Analysis Plans
• Write accessible content for lay audiences and explain complex medical concepts
• Ensure compliance with guidelines, templates, and internal SOPs while improving processes
• Mentor junior staff, manage multiple priorities, and foster team collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 3 years of medical writing experience with knowledge of biostatistics
• Strong understanding of the clinical research process and ICH GCP regulations
• Experience in writing, editing, and reviewing clinical documents
• Proficient in MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint, and electronic document management systems
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
