Senior Medical Writer

About the role

Costello Medical is expanding its US operations and is seeking a Senior Medical Writer to lead projects and manage a team. The role involves strategic advice, project supervision, and high-quality scientific content production. Candidates should have at least 2 years of professional experience in medical communications, preferably in an agency setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice to clients
• Supervise the project team
• Ensure projects are delivered to an exceptionally high standard
• Communicate regularly with clients
• Plan and review project work
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Motivate and lead colleagues

Requirements

• A degree-level or higher qualification in a scientific discipline (minimum GPA 3.3)
• At least 2 years' professional experience in medical communications (medical affairs and/or publications), ideally in an agency setting
• Strong scientific writing skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and high degree of written accuracy
• Excellent proficiency in written English and arithmetic
• Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Sufficient technical and strategic knowledge
• Ability to motivate colleagues and take a leadership role
