About the role
Costello Medical is expanding its US operations and is seeking a Senior Medical Writer to lead projects and manage a team. The role involves strategic advice, project supervision, and high-quality scientific content production. Candidates should have at least 2 years of professional experience in medical communications, preferably in an agency setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic advice to clients
- Supervise the project team
- Ensure projects are delivered to an exceptionally high standard
- Communicate regularly with clients
- Plan and review project work
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Motivate and lead colleagues
Requirements
- A degree-level or higher qualification in a scientific discipline (minimum GPA 3.3)
- At least 2 years' professional experience in medical communications (medical affairs and/or publications), ideally in an agency setting
- Strong scientific writing skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and high degree of written accuracy
- Excellent proficiency in written English and arithmetic
- Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Sufficient technical and strategic knowledge
- Ability to motivate colleagues and take a leadership role
