About the role

This role is part of a brand-new, inaugural field medical team build-out. It offers an entrepreneurial, pre-launch environment where you can actively shape the regional strategy and foundation from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a scientific expert in hematologic malignancies, with a focus on multiple myeloma and related disease areas.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of disease biology, mechanisms of action, clinical trial data, competitive landscape, and evolving treatment paradigms.
  • Translate complex scientific information into balanced, evidence-based insights for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain long-term relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), investigators, and academic experts.
  • Conduct high-quality, non-promotional scientific exchange in accordance with applicable regulations and industry standards.
  • Support the development and execution of Medical Affairs strategy within a pre-commercial and launch-focused environment.
  • Provide field-based insights to support launch planning, lifecycle management, evidence generation, and future indication expansion opportunities.
  • Serve as a trusted scientific partner to cross-functional teams, including Clinical Development, Commercial, Market Access, and Regulatory Affairs.
  • Support clinical trial activities, including investigator engagement, site identification, feasibility assessments, and protocol feedback.
  • Facilitate investigator-sponsored research (ISR/IIS) activities, including scientific review and study support.
  • Act as a conduit between external stakeholders and internal clinical, medical, and research teams.
  • Gather, analyze, and communicate actionable medical insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure all scientific exchange and activities are conducted in compliance with regulatory, legal, and company policies.
  • Demonstrate scientific integrity, ethical conduct, and patient-focused decision-making.
  • Mentor junior field medical colleagues and contribute to team development when applicable.
  • Support Medical Affairs operational initiatives, including training, SOP development, metrics, and best-practice implementation.
  • Contribute to special projects and cross-functional initiatives typical of a dynamic, growth-stage biotechnology organization.
  • Collaborate effectively across functions to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and proactive communication in support of team goals.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific or clinical degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, DO, DNP, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a field-based Medical Affairs role.
  • Experience engaging with KOLs, investigators, and healthcare professionals in a scientific exchange capacity.
  • Strong understanding of clinical research, evidence generation, and Medical Affairs principles.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across a matrixed organization.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting hematology/oncology products, with multiple myeloma experience strongly preferred; experience within small, emerging, or growth-stage biotechnology organizations; launch or pre-launch Medical Affairs experience; experience supporting Clinical Trial Operations, Medical Review Committees (MRC), Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), and/or Patient Advocacy initiatives; demonstrated success operating in fast-paced, evolving environments with limited infrastructure.

Pay

Annual Salary Range: $200,000 – $250,000*

*The salary offered will be commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, and other relevant factors. In addition to base salary, the position may be eligible for bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.

About the Search
