Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist Generalist

Overview

Sentara Port Warwick in Newport News, VA is seeking an experienced Sr. Laboratory Scientist to work full days (0600-1430) in the Clinical Lab. Generous Sign on Bonus up to $20,000 for qualified candidates!

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing and interpret test results using scientific knowledge and principles of test procedures and disease processes
• Recommend contingency testing
• Develop, maintain, and manage daily technical operations, including staff training and education
• Implement instrumentation and ensure accreditation readiness

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in medical technology or Biology/Chemical Science (required)
• ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification (required)
• 3 years of laboratory experience (required)
