Senior Medical Director, Hematology

This position is for a Senior Medical Director within the Hematology program. This individual contributor role will support clinical trial(s) and lead subteams in clinical development.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Clinical Development Lead on subteams, including for Marketing Authorization Applications.
  • Conduct medical monitoring activities, including eligibility assessment, data review, and safety monitoring.
  • Lead peer-to-peer interactions with investigators.
  • Act as the point of contact for clinical issues between the study team and investigators.
  • Lead and contribute to the development and maintenance of clinical trial and regulatory documents in collaboration with the Clinical Scientist and cross-functional team.
  • Collaborate with the Global Development Team to create and refine development strategies.
  • Represent the company in external engagements or as a committee member in joint collaborations.
  • Support regulatory interactions.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Scientist to review and interpret clinical data, identify key findings and implications, and communicate them to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain a high level of clinical expertise and professional competence by staying abreast of the latest developments, literature, and guidelines to advise on and drive current and future clinical development plans.

Requirements

  • Medical degree with 5+ years of clinical/industry experience.
  • Hematology/Oncology clinical experience in academia or industry.
  • Late-stage clinical development experience.
  • Experience overseeing and providing clinical development leadership across several study teams.
  • Excellent communication skills to present complex technical concepts to colleagues from all disciplines and levels.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Leadership or management experience.
  • Board certified/eligible in hematology/oncology.
  • Experience across multiple phases of clinical development and across drug classes in oncology.
  • Late clinical development experience in hematology.

Schedule

This is a hybrid role requiring you to live within commuting distance and work on-site an average of 2.5 days per week.

Pay

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $274,500.00 to $457,500.00. This position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 25.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in Pfizer’s share-based long-term incentive program.
