Routine Clinical and Administrative Duties
- Aids in patient assessments and treatments under supervision.
- Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
- Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Maintains examination areas.
- Organizes workflow of clinical staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's degree in Medical Assistant required.
- Certified Medical Assistant Certificate or Registered Medical Assistant required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required.
Essential Functions
- Assists with performing patient assessments and treatments under supervision of physician or nurse.
- Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
- Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Maintains examination areas.
- Communicates changes in patient condition to supervising personnel.
- Documents patient care given accurately and timely.
- Works in a stressful environment and takes appropriate action.
