Senior Medical Assistant - Cardiac Center

Routine Clinical and Administrative Duties

• Aids in patient assessments and treatments under supervision.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Maintains examination areas.
• Organizes workflow of clinical staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree in Medical Assistant required.
• Certified Medical Assistant Certificate or Registered Medical Assistant required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required.

Essential Functions

• Assists with performing patient assessments and treatments under supervision of physician or nurse.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Maintains examination areas.
• Communicates changes in patient condition to supervising personnel.
• Documents patient care given accurately and timely.
• Works in a stressful environment and takes appropriate action.
