Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Major Responsibilities
- Maintains daily maintenance activities ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards.
- Ensures timely job completion as per RBWS; monitors area backlog, notifications, and work orders in SAP.
- Provides subject matter expertise in specific asset types or maintenance methodologies.
- Serves as a resource for planning, maintenance execution organization, and asset owners.
- Evaluates equipment failures and provides information to Asset Engineers for defect elimination activities.
- Takes corrective actions for failures deemed maintenance process-related.
- Produces monthly reports on major jobs and repairs, including costs, achievements, and safety incidents.
- Collaborates with Asset Engineers to improve asset performance through continuous learning.
- Collaborates with Asset Engineers in optimizing asset strategies.
- Makes decisions with assigned responsibilities and produces anticipated results to business or technical goals.
- Show proven competency in applying and making decisions in relevant work processes.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related degree with at least 6 years’ experience.
- Master’s in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related degree with at least 4 years’ experience.
- The eligibility to apply for and obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) within a reasonable timeframe.
Preferred Qualifications
- Rotational assignment in job function or area of responsibility.
- Six-Sigma Green Belt Certification.
- SAP-FAM competence.
- Knowledge & Skills: Sound knowledge of rotating and static equipment used in chemical processing; analytical and problem-solving skills; understanding of maintenance procedures/work processes; repair methods and techniques; work planning and management for toxic chemicals; compliance with HSEQ policies and procedures; strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to ensure application and compliance with HSEQ policies and procedures while performing engineering activities.
Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills.
Ability to communicate effectively within the organization, with site management, and externally.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead ad hoc teams and manage project level maintenance activities.
