Senior Mechanical Engineer - Remote Eligible

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, selects, and applies engineering principles and practices relevant to the project requirements.
• Acts as Lead Engineer on single discipline projects or smaller multi-discipline projects, determining design approach and working with design team to prepare required design documents.
• Conceptualizes the initial design approach for major phases of large projects or takes overall responsibility for engineering work on projects of limited scope.
• Manages personal task assignments and those of other design team members to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
• Identifies and resolves conflicting design or schedule requirements, generating Project Deviation Notices as needed.
• Makes project-level decisions on assigned projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
• 8-20 years of relevant experience.
• California Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Qualifications

• Ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex technical problems.
• Possess strong computing and design skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills for building relationships and teamwork.
• Willingness to accept technical responsibility and adhere to safety requirements.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and specific software for technical applications.
