About the role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at CRB, you'll work within an integrated Architecture, Engineering, and Construction firm capable of executing ONEsolution integrated project delivery work. You'll collaborate and continuously learn alongside subject matter experts in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, process, and automation engineering; architecture and lab planning; procurement, estimation, virtual design & construction, health & safety, and construction management. Responsibilities
- Interface with clients and external partners
- Plan and direct work, manage a project budget from a mechanical design perspective on small to medium-sized projects of limited complexity
- Support proposal development under the supervision of a lead or senior engineer
- Identify basic non-compliant existing conditions during site walks and construction field surveys
- Develop construction drawing packages and write construction specifications on intermediate projects of limited complexity and with little oversight
- Lead intermediate project system design programming and master planning with support from Lead/Senior Engineers
- Provide mentorship to earlier-career engineers on projects related to HVAC, plant and clean utility, plumbing, and compressed gas systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred (alternatively, a Bachelor’s in Architectural Engineering with Mechanical Option)
- 10+ years of experience, preferably in a design firm setting
- Advanced experience with performing engineering calculations, and developing and implementing HVAC, mechanical utility, plumbing/drainage fixture, fire protection, and piping systems designs required
- Advanced experience with the mechanical/plumbing/fire code, and applicable building codes required
- Advanced experience conducting and leading field surveys of existing conditions and support of field reporting
- Proficiency AutoCAD and Revit preferred
- Professional Registration (Licensure)
- LEED, WELL, or other sustainable design accredited professional preferred
- Intermediate experience with troubleshooting issues with mechanical systems required
