About the role

PAR Systems, a world leader in engineering intelligent solutions, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Critical Handling Solutions (CHS) business segment. This role involves overseeing mechanical designs while collaborating with Controls and Software Engineers, Sales, and Manufacturing to develop innovative custom solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure project requirements are tracked and met while keeping projects on schedule.
  • Mentor more junior coworkers in SolidWorks and other 3D CAD modeling packages.
  • Lead internal and customer design review meetings to bring complex projects to life.
  • Provide technical guidance within your respective discipline and project teams.
  • Propose and assist in continuous improvement of new design standards for subsequent projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5-10+ years of experience in machine and/or automation design.
  • Experience with 3D CAD modeling packages, particularly SolidWorks.
  • Ability to manage large machine or automation design projects from concept to completion.
  • Strong planning, organization, and dedication to delivering commitments.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites for installation and commissioning of machinery (typically up to 10%, but up to 25% may be required).
