About the role

We provide a full range of mechanical engineering services, partnering with clients to design buildings from the ground up or renovate existing buildings. Our engineers work from concept through construction to create cost-effective, high-performance solutions that enhance occupant health, welfare, safety, and comfort. We focus on sustainability, energy efficiency, and long-term facility operations, using objective data and client collaboration to drive decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the architectural application of mechanical engineering, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and energy systems.
  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques and procedures, using knowledge of building codes and regulations to create or modify designs and drawings.
  • Participate in design development and creation of mechanical specification packages.
  • Verify that all design aspects comply with local codes and apply code provisions.
  • Assist in the development of project proposals, client presentations, and attend client meetings.
  • Perform field inspections, measurements, or calculations and document findings.
  • Assist in research related to material qualities, feasibility, restrictions, and industry developments.
  • Suggest new ideas and processes, stay informed of advancements in practice areas, and view obstacles as opportunities.
  • Mentor new designers and/or interns.
  • Coordinate information exchange between clients, project managers, and project teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of mechanical (architectural) design experience, specifically with industrial project design.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to research code provisions, products, and material information.
  • Strong coordination skills for information exchange between clients, project managers, and teams.
  • Willingness to mentor new designers and/or interns.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English for job-related communications and instructions.

Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is a plus but not required.

Pay

$106,600 to $140,000 per year (depending on qualifications).
