Essential Job Functions

  • Create documentation (drawings, specifications, ECOs) for electro-mechanical parts and assemblies.
  • Lead designer of parts and assemblies.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplined development team of engineers, designers and technicians.
  • Maintain proper documentation to substantiate patent applications and provide technical consultation when requested.
  • Suggest innovations, design improvements and cost reductions for existing products.
  • Participate in cross-functional design reviews at key milestones during the project life cycle.
  • Participate in prototype and pilot production builds.
  • Complete assignments within approved project budget and schedule parameters.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years progressive experience in an electro-mechanical product development environment with a proven track record of accomplishments.
  • A background in consumer products is desirable.
  • Familiar with PLM systems (Agile preferred) is desirable but not required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Familiarity with major 3D modeling software is an asset.
  • A solid understanding of Mechanical Drafting procedures and standards.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical design packages (i.e., Solid Works, AutoCad, Solid Edge).
  • Ability to interact and collaborate with immediate team, as well and junior and senior colleagues.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.

  • This role is located in Las Vegas, Nevada and is a hybrid structure with 3 days a week on-site required.
