Senior Mechanical Engineer
About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who can coordinate the work of mechanical engineers with a multidiscipline team, establish client relations, and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings. You’ll also assume the mechanical lead on many projects, conduct schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions, and review projects with various governing agencies for code compliance.
Responsibilities
- Coverage of mechanical systems across the entire project development process
- Client relations and participation in marketing, design, and production meetings
- Assuming the mechanical lead on multiple projects
- Reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
- Schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions at project sites
- Tracking financial aspects of projects and coordinating with the team to ensure work is completed on time
- Project reviews with corporate management as needed
- Performing other duties as needed
Requirements
- Computer experience using MS Office, IESVE, Trane TRACE, or similar manufacturer selection software
- Revit MEP experience preferred
- Commercial/institutional experience in healthcare, technology/data centers, and/or water-waste-water environments preferred
- Master’s degree or other advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with mechanical emphasis
- Minimum of 10 years in mechanical system design of commercial or institutional buildings
- A minimum professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD
- Demonstrated leadership skills, previous team coordination, and project management experience
- Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
Preferred Qualifications

Pay
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Exact pay will be determined based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience.
Schedule
This is a Full-time Employee position with a schedule of 40 hours per week.
Business Class
This role is within the Building Mechanical department.
