About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. You’ll be part of a dynamic group of professionals who design critical infrastructure supporting the digital age and shaping spaces where people work, connect, and thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Cook up the work of mechanical engineers with the balance of a multidiscipline team throughout the entire project's development
  • Build relationships with clients and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings regarding mechanical systems
  • Take charge of many projects as the mechanical lead
  • Check in with various governing agencies for code compliance
  • Run schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions at project sites with the Project Manager, Project Architect, and other disciplines
  • Manage workload throughout the project development to get documents done on time
  • Keep track of the financial aspects of projects and coordinate and adjust the work efforts with the team to ensure that work is completed within the agreed-upon schedule
  • Participate in project reviews with corporate management as needed
  • Do other duties as needed

Requirements

  • Preferred qualifications include computer experience using MS Office, IESVE, Trane TRACE, or similar manufacturer selection software, Revit MEP experience, and commercial/institutional experience in healthcare, technology/data centers, and/or water-wastewater
  • Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, a minimum of 10 years in mechanical system design of commercial or institutional buildings, a professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered, strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD, demonstrated leadership skills, previous team coordination and project management experience, and previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm

Qualifications

  • A master’s degree or other advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with mechanical emphasis is preferred

Skills

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD. Demonstrated leadership skills, previous team coordination and project management experience. Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
